Psalm 1:1-3
"Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on His law day and night.

That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither -- whatever they do prospers."

I am grateful that in this season of my life the Lord has given me blocks of time that enable me to spend more time in His Word.

His Word is my comfort
His Word is my instructor
His Word is my encourager
His Word keeps me grounded

His Word spoken to my heart ,through the Words straight from God''s  heart to His handpicked writers, has served to draw me closer and closer to Him.

Psalm 119:1-5

"Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord.  Blessed are those who keep His statutes and seek Him with all their hearts - They do no wrong but follow His ways.  You have laid down precepts that are to be obeyed.  Oh that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees."

This passage of scripture is found in a Psalm that is an absolute necessity to bring me back to why I love God's Word.  Every verse acknowledges and instructs on the authority of the Holy Word of God!

Why is that so important ?  I am human with human frailties and left floundering in my "flesh" I am liable to wander off the narrow way.

God's Word pulls me back and my eyes go heavenward, once more, and quietly I whisper:  thank You Lord, thank You!

Because He loves you and me,

  1. Hey Judy...

I am so new to this blogging thing. So...this is the third time that I have written this...but as they say...third time's a charm.

Just wanted to stop by and encourage you to keep posting scripture to your audience. You never know who may be reading and either just doesn't know how to respond...or the world of blogging is new to them also.
God's Word is sharper than any two edged sword...and pierces through the hardest of hearts. And never comes back void.
Although I know that you already know this about the truth of the gospel...I just wanted to encourage you to keep the faith sister!!!
God's Word and a Praying Mom brought me to my give up on those out there that may need to hear God's Truth.
There are so many lost souls out there that need to hear that there is hope. This world is not going to fulfill the "God sized" hole in their hearts...the longing to be loved...unconditionally. Something...that no matter how hard we try to fill with material anything of this world...that hole in our lives can only be filled by Jesus.
I praise God that He loved me enough to not give up on me when I was addicted to ALL of the above. And when He loved me enough to allow me to get to the end of myself....I fell as far as one can fall...and still be alive. Curled up in a ball in my closet...crying out to HIM....and He heard me. And He will hear whomever cries out to Him...wherever they are...JUST AS THEY ARE. My prayer is that they don't have to fall too far before they allow Jesus to show them the love they have been looking for.
Ok...that's all...just wanted to share my heart...keep posting Judy. Love you...M

  2. Thank you dear "M"! God's Word spoken to another......He is so good! Just what I needed to hear! Thank you for your friendship, encouragement and transparency as you walk your God-filled life through the wilderness! He is our everything!!!
    Love you, too!
