GOD IS STILL ON HIS THRONE

Monday afternoon in paradise...windows open and cool air is delicious.

As I sit here with the sun shining brightly enjoying the crisp Fall day, Monster storm Sandy is pounding the NE coast and my mind fills up with attributes of a holy God as found in His Word:

Psalm 136

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
His love endures forever.
Give thanks to the God of gods.
His love endures forever.
Give thanks to the Lord of lords:
His love endures forever.
to him who alone does great wonders,
His love endures forever.
who by his understanding made the heavens,
His love endures forever.
who spread out the earth upon the waters,
His love endures forever.
who made the great lights
His love endures forever.
the sun to govern the day,
His love endures forever.
the moon and stars to govern the night;
His love endures forever.

When storms come in our lives and all hell breaks loose, I run to the Word of God to get my bearings.
Friends are struggling with burdens beyond describing.
The election is looming in front of us with many men and women drawing a line in the sand that is pushing people away instead of working together.

So much of life has been spent by accumulating stuff and there are children starving and yet we hold tight to what is ours.

As I look around and within I see the need for God's mercy more than ever.  We have not been a faithful people.  We have followed the ways of the world rather than God.
We must acknowledge our sins of faithlessness and idolatry.

God says in His Word: "If my people, who are called by my name, humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins and heal their land."
2 Chronicles 7:14

Father in heaven,  Forgive us we pray for all the times we have turned away from you and lived according to what we wanted and disregarded what you wanted.  We have sinned against You, the one true God, and now turn back to you. Thank you for never giving up on us Father.
In Jesus' name and for His sake, Amen

Let us pray together for revival my friends.

Because Jesus lives,

Judy
