To take The Word to the world, whether it is the wide, wide world or my corner of the world, I must be familiar with The Word. More than that I must nourish myself with God's Word until it becomes so much a part of me that thinking God's thoughts rather than my own becomes second nature. The BIG dream.
So I have started my journey in Genesis with stops in Matthew and The Psalms along the way. I am taking my time, taking to heart Holley Gerth's "The 21 Day Do What You Can Plan".
Every time I read Genesis, chapters one through three, my heart beats a little stronger and a bit faster as I picture the days of creation in my mind. God's power jumps off the page and once again I am drawn to our Creator God - Elohim, Universal Creator.
I'm intrigued by God's creativity. A blueprint? None since has come close to the intricacies of Creation.
Don't you love the phrase - "Then God said "? Blueprints require pens, pencils or computers for a 1500 square ft house...... and the Universe? Put in place by the Word of God!
Brings a lump to my throat and tears to my eyes.
Where are you reading today? What has the Lord spoken to you through the pages of His bible?
I'd love to hear about it.
Blessings,
Judy
